Capacity Builders, a division of the Ontario Community Support Association, is seeking skilled instructors to conduct workshops focused on the needs of front-line caregivers (generally Personal Support Workers). Sessions are usually three to six-hours in length and are delivered on-site at community agencies. We are seeking instructors in all parts of the province as well as those who are interested in travelling. The work is casual/part time and instructors join our team as independent contractors. Frequency varies, with our busiest season being January – March.

- Falls Management
- Mobility and Client Handling Skills (lifts and transfers)
- Palliative and End-of-Life Care (especially in the areas of pain assessment/management and supporting clients with end-stage dementia)
- Mental Health (especially in the areas of establishing rapport, communicating with clients who have mental health issues, and supporting clients with addiction)
- Dementia Care (especially in the area of responding to physical, verbal and socially inappropriate behaviours)
- Supporting Clients with Communication Barriers (ie - hearing loss, no common language, aphasia, and cognitive impairment)
- Supporting Clients with Parkinson's Disease
- Supporting Persons with Spinal Cord Injury
