Lockdowns, social distancing, quarantines – we’ve all lived through unprecedented waves of self-isolation during the pandemic. Changes in our daily lives and feelings of loneliness have impacted our clients, our co-workers…and ourselves. This workshop will discuss the differences among isolation, loneliness and mental health issues. We'll identify ways support workers can address these issues within the role, and discuss the impact of tone and words in communication. We'll also describe some self-care techniques that support workers can use to maintain well-being.
